Cancellation Policy

The Mountains Chiropractic is committed to providing you with exceptional care. When a patient cancels without giving enough notice, it prevents another patient from being helped. Therefore, we have implemented the following policy:

Minimum Notice:
Our cancellation policy strictly requires a 24-hour notice for appointment changes. If you anticipate that you won't be able to make your scheduled appointment, please ensure you provide us with a 24-hour advance notice. Failing to do so will result in a cancellation fee, which amounts to 50% of the appointment's value if you give notice between 6 to 24 hours.

Late Cancellation and Rescheduling:
If you provide less than 6 hours' notice or simply do not show up for your appointment without prior notification, you will be charged 100% of the consultation fee. Invoices for these fees will be promptly issued and must be settled upon receipt. If you have a pre-paid package, the applicable fee will be deducted from your remaining sessions.

No-Show:
A “no-show” occurs when a patient misses an appointment without cancelling or notifying us before the appointment time. If this becomes a habitual pattern, you may be asked to pay in advance for your next appointment.

Emergencies/Sickness:
We understand that emergencies and sudden illnesses can occur. If you need to cancel your appointment due to an emergency or sudden illness, please let us know as soon as possible. We will work with you to reschedule your appointment and may waive the cancellation fee on a case-by-case basis.

Late Arrivals:
If you arrive 10 minutes or more late for your appointment, you will need to reschedule and will be charged a late cancellation fee of $45. In special cases, and when our schedule allows, we may be able to accommodate a partial or full appointment. This will be at our discretion and will only occur with proper, advanced notification of your late arrival. If Dr. Kate Slattery is running late due to unforeseen circumstances, you will receive your full scheduled appointment allocation.

High Demand for Evening Appointments:
Please note that appointments scheduled between the hours of 4 PM and 7 PM are highly sought after. We appreciate your understanding of this demand, and your timely communication is crucial to help us accommodate all patients in need of care.

Reminders:
It’s important to note that while we make every effort to send text message reminders, these should not be solely relied upon. Occasional technical errors may interfere with the delivery of these messages. Therefore, the responsibility of remembering appointment dates and times falls upon each patient. Please remember, a missed text message cannot be used as an excuse for missing an appointment.

This policy is in place to enable us to offer your appointment slot to other clients in need of immediate care. If we can successfully fill your appointment with another client, you will not be billed. Your cooperation in adhering to this policy is crucial to maintaining efficient scheduling for all our clients.
